Burleson -- 64, retired Federal government employee and Tarrant county master gardener, passed away Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012, shortly before sunrise. She succumbed to cancer, but not before she left a legacy of love and adventure.
Services were 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012, at Laurel Land Memorial Chapel.
Linda was born May 29, 1947, in Tulare, Calif. to Albert and Myrtle Bomar Bradley. She married Clifford Richard Witherspoon on March 15, 1966, in Wichita Falls. Clifford remained by her side to the very end. Linda graduated from Alvarado High School before joining the Air Force and going to college. She was a longtime resident of the Johnson county area.
Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Cliff Witherspoon; sons, Steven Dean Witherspoon of Burleson and Jonathan Alan Witherspoon and wife, Anne Damron Witherspoon, of Allen; brothers, Van Ray Bradley of Cleburne, Gene A. Bradley of Burleson, Karl Dean Bradley of Burleson and Darrell Glenn Bradley of Cleburne; sisters, Charlotte Nadine Bradley of Burleson and Juanita Faye Hutson of Malone; grandchildren, Paige Chastin Witherspoon and Jacob Chance Witherspoon, both of Burleson, and John Aaron Witherspoon and Ellen Grace Witherspoon, both of Allen; and many relatives who were very dear to her
heart.
