Alvarado -- a long-time resident of Alvarado, passed into the Lord's arms Thursday, May 31, 2012, at the Grandview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
The service was 11 a.m. Monday, June 4, 2012, at the First United Methodist Church in Alvarado. Interment followed in Glenwood Cemetery. Visitation was 3-6 p.m. Sunday, June 3, 2012, at Clayton Kay-Vaughan Funeral Home in Alvarado.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Carolyn Davis Memorial Fund at the Grandview Nursing Home, 301 W. Criner, Grandview, TX 76050.
Carolyn was born April 23, 1942, in Alvarado. She graduated from Alvarado High School in 1960 and married her
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy Newby and Nora Marie Ezell; and siblings, Bobby Newby, Betty Solomon, Jerry Newby, and Kathey Baze.
Carolyn is survived by her step-father, Lem Ezell; daughters, Jennifer Frerichs and husband, Brent, and Jessica Rayburne and husband, Jr.; sons, Jayson Davis and wife, Christiane, and Jeremy Davis and wife, Susan; grandchildren, Chance and Chad Frerichs, Madison and James Davis, Lily Rayburne and Kylie Davis.
