CLEBURNE - Juror selection began today in a Johnson County capital murder trial in the 413th district court at the Guinn Justice Center.
Mark Anthony Soliz could be the first man since 1996 given the death penalty in Johnson County should the jury return a guilty verdict. He is accused of the June 29, 2010, robbery and killing of Nancy Weatherly of Godley.
Six jurors will be interviewed each day until 14 jurors are selected. That process could take as long as six weeks, according to the office of District Judge William Bosworth.
