There are only two rules at Alvarado High School football camp - have fun and hustle.

“Those are our only rules,” Alvarado football coach Jeff Dixon said. “And along the way, hopefully they will learn a little bit of football.”

Dixon and his coaching staff are conducting three camps this week.

“I enjoy these camps,” Dixon said. “The kids are a joy to work with.”

The early morning camp is for incoming fourth- through sixth-graders.

The next camp is for incoming seventh- and eighth-graders.

The evening camp is for incoming freshmen and is more advanced. Part of the intent of the camp is to get players in condition for fall drills that start on Monday.
