Girls Basketball: State-ranked teams prove too much (Posted 2/4/2010 11:52 am)
Alvarado’s girls basketball teams faced state-ranked foe back-to-back as the Indians fell to Kennedale and Crandall last week.

Tuesday, ninth-ranked Kennedale downed Alvarado 81-19. Brandi Morris and Callie Young each scored four points in the loss.

The Lady Indians hosted second-ranked Crandall Friday and lost 89-29.

Bailey Warren paced Alvarado with nine points, while Young scored six points and Morris added four points.

Alvarado played Tuesday at Venus in a game that ended after deadline.

The Lady Indians will hold Senior Night at 6:30 p.m. Friday when they host Ferris in the final game of the season.
