Minister alliance meets Thursday (Posted 2/2/2010 01:16 pm)
Alvarado Area Ministerial Alliance will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 4 in the Family Life Center of Alvarado Fisrt Methodist Church.

The church is located at 301 S. Spears, two blocks south of the downtown square.

Pastor Jimmy Humphus of No Turning Back Ministry will speak after the participants enjoy a meal together. No Turning Back Ministry pastors former convects after release from prison.

“The Ministerial Alliance is such a great thing,” Rev. Humphus said. “Forget religion. Forget boundaries. These ministers from all over the area gather to share the good news and talk about how they can better move the word of God in the community. It is a very unified effort to bless people.”

The alliance meets 6 p.m. the first Thursday of each month. For more information, contact Rev. Gene Gurley at 817-980-6492. Area church leaders typically enjoy a meal, listen to a guest speaker and share ideas about their ministries.
